James Cobb

James Cobb has worked in the live music and event sector for nearly 20 years. His recent focus has been compliance including licensing, health and safety, sustainability and environmental protection.
After completing a Natural Science degree at Cambridge, he started work in 1994 at the Flying Music Company, as production-coordinator on around 400 theatre and arena shows per year. Since then he has worked as a freelance tour and production manager, for concert production company Sound Advice, and as Production Director for the Cornbury Festival. In 2006 he was elected to the council of the Production Services Association. Following a spell as vice-chairman, he currently chairs the association. He is a fellow of the RSA. He holds a postgraduate certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Management, and is a graduate member of IOSH. He is also a personal licence holder. In 2006 he founded CA.
