Document Management
CAs document management server and collaboration portal has received a major upgrade. Based on the open source Alfresco ECM platform, the system enables the team working on each event (both inside and outside the company) to access the latest versions of plans, schedules and other documents.
The system has been in operation for over a year, but the new upgrade adds many new collaboration features, allowing the various contractors, designers and freelances on each project to work closely together.
Most importantly the system tracks each new version of a document, and keeps an audit trail of each update and download. This makes it possible to see which version of a document people are working with, and to automatically email users who have not accessed the latest updates.
