EC stage is highlight of Exhibition Road Music Day
With less than a months lead time, CA were awarded the contract by the European Commission to manage an open air stage in Hyde Park as part of Exhibition Road Music Day. The event, on 21st June, is part of the international Fete de la Musique.
The stage in Hyde Park celebrated the Year of Intercultural dialogue, and featured bands from across Europe. Headliners included Four Tet and Late of the Pier.
CA took over liaison with the Royal Parks, and contracted all suppliers for the stage production and public facilities. Live Nation provided invaluable assistance, and important parts of the production including the entire power distribution system were transported across from their Hard Rock / O2 Wireless site in Hyde Park for the day.
CA also provided all planning and documentation for the event, including the Event Management Plan, risk assessments, contingency plans, and contractor and staff briefing documents.
The event was built and derigged in one day, with CA starting work in Kensington Gardens at 6am. The gates were finally locked with all contractors clear of the park by 11pm.
